Caring for facial hair is just as important, especially if you love a longer beard versus a skin-trimmed beard. Beard oil is one of the products that can make it easier for you to take care of your beard. The skin absorbs the oil and provides numerous benefits to the beard growth oil , including growth. But like any other product, the ingredients that your oil contains are basically the determinants of what the oil does to your beard and how effective it actually is in getting the results you want. Essentially, beard growth oils consist of carrier oils and essential oils perfectly blended for amazing benefits. Here's what the ingredients in your oil are actually doing to your beard.

It is an oil found in many skin moisturizers

Argon Oil – It is an oil that is found in many skin moisturizers because it contains vitamin E, which helps moisturize and soften the skin. As for your beard, the fatty content of this oil strengthens the skin while reducing the discomfort associated with hair follicle sprouting. It's also non-greasy and non- irritating , making it a popular ingredient in beard oils. The oils are quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling.

castor oil

This is another very popular ingredient in all-natural beard oils. It's probably because of how quickly it penetrates the skin beneath the beard, thus relieving frizzy, coarse and dry hair. Castor oil also has properties that eliminate itching, dandruff while also promoting beard growth. An easier to manage and style beard means less breakage and therefore a more manly beard at the end.

almond oil

It works by smoothing and softening facial hair without split ends or tangles. Beard growth oils with this ingredient are often suitable for all beard hairs, including coarse and fine ones. The oil also makes the beard look and feel healthier and stimulates facial hair growth.

shea butter

It is a very popular ingredient in most beauty products. When used in beard oils, shea butter transforms wild and frizzy beards into sleek, tangle-free and smooth, endearing beards. It has moisturizing properties, making it a great ingredient for facial hair growth and management.

tea tree oil

It promotes beard growth by reducing redness, dandruff and itching. This oil also moisturizes, heals and repairs damaged beards, leaving them smooth and shiny. Since it is quickly absorbed into the skin, it does not leave a greasy oily residue on the beard.

jojoba oil

Growing a beard can be difficult when there is too much itching, and jojoba oil saves the day by getting rid of the itch at the source. It also moisturizes and eliminates dandruff and flakes.

grapeseed oil, olive oil, wheat germ beard balm , and vitamin E , as well as various types of essential oils. It's important to check all the ingredients in your beard oil before you buy it so you know exactly what's benefiting you.

The biggest problem with beard oil

The first time I used beard oil I managed to evoke a massive reaction. If this following story sounds like something you're doing now, you should never use beard oil ever again! The following lesson is very important for the health of your beard, so stay tuned.

When I started using products

It's a story of when I first started using products on my facial hair. I would pour lots of oil into my palms and gently rub it through my beard. That was no problem. I figured the more I use, the healthier my beard will be. So I'd grab a little more before I leave the house and work it through my beard again.

Over time I got a really, really itchy beard and my first thought was that my facial hair was dry.

created big problems

So what have I done? I've worked more beard oil into my hair. It caused big problems! It could have been the quality of the beard oil (you have to be very careful when making a blend as the essential oils can be very skin reactive. 96-99% of a blend should be carrier oils) or the amount I used.

Both consequences can provoke violent reactions. My skin burned and I had a big rash where I used products (rest assured it wasn't our product, it was another company's ). problems. There are a few steps you need to take to avoid the stress I've had to endure:

1) Choose a good product

Track how much you use. Just aim for a 100% organic, cold-pressed oil and you should be fine

2) Follow the guidelines

These are our guidelines for the beard oils we make with the amount you should be using on a daily basis.

·         less than a 5p piece dosage for every 0-3 months of growth

·         5p piece dosage for 3-6 months of growth

·         5 cent piece ++ for 6-12 months of growth

It all depends on the size and age of your beard. The more hair, the more oil you need. Just follow what works for you and be careful with the amount you use.
